Our private woodlands surround the entire farm, carefully managed by an agro-forestry program.

With two running streams and an abundance of wildlife, you can explore all the natural beauty of the forest.

Sloping meadows run through the centre of Hengarth and look out over uninterrupted mountain views.

 

Our upper mountain meadows are an endless expanse of grasses, native plants and forages.

 Our 19th Century barn overlooks the nature pond and acts as a welcoming space for guests.

 

The barn has years of history in its wooden beams. We've completed a full restoration from foundation to frame to bring it back to life. The barn is now the welcoming space for guests and centerpiece of our farm.

At the heart of Hengarth is our small working sheep farm, dedicated to raising a registered flock of clun-forest sheep.

 

An elegant breed harking from the uplands of the Welsh/English border, we're one of only a small number of registered breeders in North America. Our flock is grass-fed year round on our lower meadows and watched over by our guardian Llama, Sandman. 

Picnic spot, performance space, dining area, dance floor, outdoor yoga room, chill-out deck – you name it! 

 

Right on the crest of the sheep meadow sits our 500 sq.ft platform – positioned for the perfect Catskills vista. Encircled by our woodland, our sizable platform deck is the perfect entertaining space for guests and events, where the star of the show is always that stunning backdrop.
