Hengarth is an independently-owned Catskills glamping hotel and boutique events venue surrounded by outstanding natural beauty. We sit at 2000 ft. elevation near the crest of Dog Hill mountain, providing stunning vistas of The Bearpen Mountain Range and State Forest to the South. On-site is our small working farm that breeds heritage Clun Forest sheep, and 101 acres of private woodlands, mountain meadows, ponds, streams and open spaces to explore. Stay, play, rest and reset with us in the natural beauty of the Catskills.

From our base on the edges of Greene, Schoharie and Delaware Counties, you're minutes away from Upstate New York’s best fishing and kayaking, Mountains, "Tour of the Catskills" road cycle routes, swimming holes, reservoirs and waterfalls, as well as breweries, restaurants, and oh so many hiking trails!
Just over 2.5 hours from NYC, Hengarth offers101 bucolic acres with carefully curated spaces for you to rest, reset and explore. As you enter the farm, you'll pass the pond, parking and be greeted at the Old Barn - a 19th Century stucture we've restored to create a welcoming space for guests. Our sheep meadows run up the center of the hill, which you'll pass on your walk to your upper meadow glamping site.
On the way you'll pass our work-space cabin in the woods and our 600 sq. ft viewing deck - at the crest of the hill, it's perfect to soak up the view with a drink, a picnic, or a peaceful yoga session. At the end of the road you'll come to a forest nook with our bar/community and dining space. Finally, you'll find the glamping bell-tents positioned around the tree-line of our upper meadow. All of this runs up the center of the farm, fully enclosed by our acres of private woodland with our stream [which springs on-site!] running adjacent.

Hengarth glamping and events venue is in the historic town of Prattsville, easy to access off Rt. 23, nestled between the area's two top mountain resorts of Windham [10 minutes] and Hunter [25 minutes].
